Before Charlie Creates Marketing, Charlie Russell worked in communications, running social media pages and making visual content for The Bridge Community Church, a large multi-site church in Chicago, IL after graduating Johnson University in Knoxville, TN.

 

Charlie grew up as a preacher's kid. His Dad, Rusty Russell, is currently the pastor of New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte, FL, one of the top 100 fastest-growing churches in America. His grandfather is Bob Russell, retired senior minister of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY, one of the largest churches in America.

Charlie went through a traumatic experience in 2021 when he almost died from pneumonia due to Covid-19. He was hospitalized for three months and thanks to a process used as a lung bypass called ECMO, he miraculously survived. That experience taught him that life is fragile, and he is determined to focus on making a positive impact on the world.  

 

Currently, Charlie lives in Port Charlotte, Florida with his wife Faith and his daughter, Charity Rose. While his background was in ministry, his experience in helping churches and non-profits use social media and visual content to reach more people has translated well in the business world. He has helped people all over the U.S. reach more people, convert more leads, and change more lives.
