How to Be Popular (Part 4 of 5)
Here is my fourth tip for getting popular:
Some people get popular by necessity.
It's easy to understand how a business that sells something essential can become popular. For example, a company that sells water is bound to be popular. Even companies like Exxon or BP are popular because of what they sell, even though we could survive without oil, it is essential to our way of life. You might not be in a business that is considered a natural necessity, however,
YOU CAN BECOME ESSENTIAL TO A WAY OF LIFE.
Market your product or service not as something everyone wants, but as something that everyone needs.
A fortune 500 example of this is Apple Inc. Before Apple, computers were used for scientists, mathematicians, and nerds that liked having the earliest personal computers as a hobby. Apple made computers into an essential household item. Later they did the same thing with cell phones.
